Illustration of Horace Silver back in the 60′s. Song for My Father remains one of my all-time favorites. One of the fathers of the Hard Bop. I was asked by Philippe Debongnie to contribute to his blog – Jazz and Draw. I was glad to contribute. Check out the blog and especially if you love jazz. Love this movie! Sketch of Tommy Johnson from the movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou.” This movie has some amazing characters, Big Dan Teague, Pappy O’Daniel, Homer Stokes, Delmar, Pete, Everett and George “Don’t Call Me Babyface” Nelson. So many sketches I wanna do, so little time.
