Here’s a sketch I did of a gorilla tonight. I love drawing animals, always have, since I was a kid.

In The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis the Narnian ape named Shift distorts the truth and leads his followers to distruction. Then there’s the famous King Kong hanging on the Empire State building swatting at planes. That one is burned in my mind. Also, Planet of the Apes with Charlton Heston cursing while trapped by apes. There’s so many examples that come to mind, plus I’ve been looking at this Zoo brochure and I’ve been wanting the draw this gorilla for the past few weeks. Also, I’m sure I’ll be drawing more gorillas, since I enjoyed this one.
